Dreamgirls Cast Bios

Biography: Krystle Tate-Effie

Krystle is excited to be back on the Munopco stage starring in one of her dream roles as Effie! No stranger to the stage, she has been performing since the age of 3 in various talent shows, pageants, and theatre. Previous roles include Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act, Lady Thiang in The King and I, Grace Farrell in Annie, and an array of ensemble roles. When not on the stage, Krystle can be seen around the Valley as one of the lead singers in the duo SecondWynd where she showcases her vocal ability in R&B, Soul, Funk and Jazz. She would like to thank Ali and the production team for the opportunity as well as the cast for making this journey even more enjoyable! 

 

Biography: Taylor Hood-Lorrell

Tayr wanted to break out of her comfort zone in 2003, and move closer to her goals and what better way to do that, than to audition for Dreamgirls? As someone who doesn’t even try new foods, this was a big step for her. When she auditioned she expected nothing more than the ensemble, being that it was her first time auditioning for anything, and as grateful as she is for the role she got, imposter syndrome was real. With that being said she’s never been more excited (and scared) to step out of her comfort zone. She still, however, will not be trying new foods anytime soon, baby steps. 

 

Biography: Arianna Rodriguez-Deena

Arianna Rodriguez is proud to make her theatrical debut as Denna. She is 25 years old and originally from  New Jersey but currently resides in the Poconos. She is an artist who has been singing since the age of 2 and pursued competitive shows such as The Voice , American idol, and America’s got talent. She is currently working on her album to put out on all music platforms. She enjoys other hobbies such as cooking and dancing but her main focus is music. This is her first time being in a theater production. Arianna is so excited to be a part of this journey and cannot  wait to see what’s to come from it! 

Biography: Bekah Gray-Michelle

Bekah Elaine, a Jersey native and Pennsylvania resident, comes from a very musical family. She grew up immersed in Neo-Soul, Gospel, Jazz and classical which gave way to a very eclectic musical taste and stylistic approach to creating. At an early age she expressed her love for the arts, doing jazz, tap, ballet, and hip hop dance, as well as singing in church, choirs, and hair salons, and receiving awards in art competitions in middle school. She likes to create pieces that can stand as encouragement, relate to, and speak to those who hear it, invoking growth from her meaningful messages. Bekah wants those who experience her art with her to walk away feeling like they've shared experiences, and feel her love for music, the arts, and the very people exposed to it.

 

Biography: Marcell McKenizie-Curtis

Marcell currently resides in Easton, PA and is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania where he received his bachelor’s degree in musical theatre accompanied by a minor in dance. Marcell has performed professionally across the country in addition to choreographing many productions. He is very excited to be making his Munopco debut in Dreamgirls!

 

Biography: Tyree Scott- Jimmy

TYREE L. SCOTT 26 (Jimmy Early), is excited to be performing on stage again after a 4 year hiatus. His most recent musical theatre appearance to date was in 2018 as lead actor Seaweed in MunOpCo production of Hairspray The Musical. He has also starred as another lead Eddie in Cedar Crest University's production of Sister Act. During his time away from the stage he spent a lot of time exploring his artistic abilities landing him very successful bookings. His repertoire includes modeling in various shows including New York Fashion Week, Atlantic City Fashion week, as well as his most recent appearance & tour as a lead actor (Frode) in Jg Wentworth’s Iconic 877-Cash-NOW TV commercial. He will commemorate his role in the musical Dreamgirls as a dedication to his grandmother who loved the musical. Under Alejandra’s spectacular direction and with the support of his family, friends, amazing cast & crew he looks forward to leaving his all including his PANTS on the stage for a memorable show. BREAK A LEG CAST AND CREW!!!! 

 

Biography: Treyvonn Cephas-CC

Treyvonn is very excited to make his theatre debut in this production! Treyvonn turned 30 earlier this month and has been around theatre most of his life. The nutcracker and fences are two of his favorite plays. He enjoys playing sports, roller skating, and paintballing in his spare time. He also has a passion for nature and animals.``

 

Biography: Kevin Rizzo-Marty

Kevin J Rizzo (Marty) He/His/Him: Kevin is native to the Lehigh Valley area. Kevin is excited for his first stage production of the year and even more excited for his debut at Munopco. Kevin recently worked with Nazareth Center of the Arts as a featured vocalist for their “A Night On Broadway” series. Rizzo is the first Latinx to get a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre with a minor in music from Wilkes University. Kevin is currently in his second semester of the Juilliard extension program with The Juilliard School. He is studying voice under the direction of Kurt Alakulppi. During his free time, Kevin loves spending time with his family and friends. Kevin wants to thank his family and friends for their support and also Munopco for giving him this opportunity.

 

 

Biography: Mac Vill-Mr. Morgan/Jerry

Mac Vill is very excited to make his acting debut at Munopco Theater’s Dreamgirls Musical. Mac Vill, an Allentown native is an artist, producer and songwriter. When he is not on the road performing, Mac volunteers his time to his community and the arts. Speaking at local schools and collaborating with nonprofit organizations to give back.

 

 

Biography: Cormac Stone-Dave/Frank

Cormac Stone, this is his first role in theater. He will play Dave/Frank, his previous experience is from the Easton Choir. He's super excited to work under the direction of Ali Santos and crew.  Thanks to all my friends and family. Thanks to all the production crew and everyone who made this show possible. Biography: TyRonn Brewington-M.C.

TyRonn Brewington has always been creative. From the age of 7, he’s been writing and by the age of 25 he was acting and directing. He’s originally from the Bronx, NY but resides in Easton PA. With 8 theatre productions under his belt, over 10+ movies written, 2 movies already out, and 1 that he’s currently working on TyRonn is always looking for his next adventure. 

 

Biography: Rodney RJ Edwards

Rodney Edwards Jr known as RJ originally from Southside of Bethlehem, was raised in the westside of Atlanta is a private chef, model and dancer .

 

Biography: Keane Carrington-Tru Tone/Ensemble

Keane Carrington. (Ensemble), pronouns are he/him. He first made his debut in MunOpCo theatre in 2022 where he appeared in the musical School of Rock and is excited to be part of another MunOpCo production once again. He also appeared in the musical The Grunch and starred as (Rudy Grunch) for Star of The Day production, and the SpongeBob Musical for Civic Theatre. Keane is a Brooklyn NY native and resides in Allentown. He is 16 yrs old and is a freshman in College at LCCC. He enjoys theatre, playing the guitar and Football for his team the Phoenix Sevens. Special thanks to his parents and sister,who are his biggest supporters. He would also so like to thank to MunOpCo theatre for giving him a chance to share his talent with the world once again. He is so grateful for the opportunity to work with Ali, the cast and crew members and gives extra thanks to his “best friend Mikey for his encouragement and never-ending support.

 

Biography: Bob Calder-Security Guard, Ensemble

Robert Calder is excited to return to the Munopco stage where he last appeared as Joe Boyd in “Damn Yankees.” He has appeared on stage in the Munopco productions of “Gypsy,” “MAMMA MIA,” “Brigadoon,” White Christmas,” and “Catch Me If You Can,” and has worked backstage on many more. He has also performed on the Pennsylvania Playhouse stage as Mayor Dobbs in “Bright Star,” and as Scrooge in “A Broadway Christmas Carol.” This community theater endeavor started on a whim 40 years ago at Civic Little Theater, and he sends his love to his wonderful and patient wife, Maureen, and his daughter, Mary. Thank you both for your support. And thank you, our audience, for supporting live local theater.

 

Biography: Victoria Spruiell-Stepp Sister/Ensemble

Victoria Spruiell (Stepp Sister/Les Styles/Ensemble) is thrilled to be back on the Munopco stage in this production of Dreamgirls! She was last seen onstage as Mrs. Puff in Civic Theatre’s production of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical. She also played one of the Three Little Pigs in Munopco’s production of Shrek and has performed with Star of the Day and the Pennsylvania Playhouse in the past. Victoria also sings in the Bach Choir of Bethlehem and is the soprano section leader of St. John’s Lutheran Church’s Chancel Choir. Many thanks to the incredible cast, crew, and production team for putting on an amazing show!

 

Biography: Christina Graham-Charlene, Edna Burke, and Ensemble

Christina Graham is excited to be a part of this incredible cast for her first production with MunOpCo! This is her second show in the Lehigh Valley following Civic Theatre’s 2022 production of The Color Purple. She has previously worked with the Pennsylvania Theatre of Performing Arts in Hazleton, PA and The Grove Theatre in Nuangola, PA. Off-stage, Christina is the Data & Evaluation Manager at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, a local non-profit organization serving the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. 

 

 

Biography: Juneika Martinez-Stepp Sister and Ensemble

Juneika Martinez is extremely excited to be a part of the ensemble of Dreamgirls! This is her first time being with Munopco. She is a sophomore at Lehigh Carbon Community College and is studying music and sound production. The last show she did was at Clifton high school in New Jersey and she did Footloose. In her spare time she likes to dance and play with her dog. Lastly, she would like to thank her family that always supported and believed in her and also to the cast that was always there to help and cheer her on. Please enjoy the show!! 

 

Biography: Quisha Farell-Stepp Sister/Ensemble

Quisha Farrell (Stepp Sister) is excited to perform with MunOpCo Theater Family for the first time, but has a range of theater experience on area stages. She debuted at The Stagecrafters,portraying Ruth Younger in A Raisin In The Sun and Mayme in Intimate Apparel. She also appeared in several regional theater productions, having portrayed Freida Joubert in Statements After An Arrest Under the Immorality Act and Mickey in The New Odd Couple. Quisha has a B.A. in Communications and Theater from Winthrop University and is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy 

Biography: Khylah Eure-Feat Dancer

My name is Khylah Eure. I’m not new to theatre. I have done many shows with MunOpCo. My biggest roles to date are, Tomika in School of Rock (MunOpCo.), Little Ti’Moune in Once on this Island (SFA) and Javiar in The Grunch (Star of the Day). I am very grateful for my mom and dad for pushing me, and the cast for helping with my confidence in this show of amazing talented actors/actresses . Biography: Ciara Alford-Feat Dancer

Ciara Alford graduated from DeSales University in 2019 with her BA in Dance. Since graduation she has danced with Cedar Fair Entertainment at Dorney Park and Windish Music & Productions. She has also landed a teaching job at Dance Works of Quakertown, and has been there for the last three years teach hip-hop. Currently, she is a freelancer, and has booked many gigs and performances.

 

Biography: Mariah Goiran-Feat Dancer

Mariah Goiran- Mariah is excited to be making her MunOpCo theater debut as a featured dancer. In her spare time she is mostly found at the dance studio or singing. She has participated in many shows including musicals, choir concerts and dance showcases. She is very excited to be back on stage for another show and would like to thank her whole family for such wonderful support. 

 

Biography: Kayla Carrington-Feat. Dancer

Kayla Carrington. (Ensemble), pronouns are she/her. She made her first debut to MunOpCo in 2022 when she appeared in the musical School of Rock and is excited to share her talent with the world once again. She also made an appearance in the SpongeBob Musical for Civic theatre. Kayla is a Brooklyn NYnative and currently resides in Allentown. Biography:Shya Koehler-Ensemble

Shya is thrilled to be performing in this year’s production of DreamGirls!

Shya, age 13, has performed in 15 shows throughout the Lehigh Valley. To name a few shows such as, SpongeBob SquarePants the Musical, Matilda, and Annie. Shya enjoys playing basketball, crafting, dancing, and singing in her spare time. She would like to thank everyone who has always been so supportive and thank the cast for all the hard work they have put in. Break a leg everyone!

 

Biography: Reign Jodun-Ensemble

Reign Divine is very amused to be in the wonderful musical Dreamgirls! She has always wanted to do the musical but never had the time, but now  finally can do one. This is her first musical and is very excited to see it all come together.She is a dancer and a singer. She is  very grateful to be selected in the ensemble. She is a  seventh grader and has been in Charter arts since Kindergarten. She started taking singing lessons to take her voice to the next level in her life. She hopes  to get somewhere through her voice. Reign  really wants to become a famous singer and actress when I’m older. Reign wants to thank Ali the director, her parents, and the cast and crew for helping her get this far. Thank you. And enjoy the show!

 

Biography: Mauri Crawford-Ensemble

Mauri Crawford is very excited to be joining the ensemble of Dreamgirls! This is her first time doing a show at Munopco. She is a seventh grader, and has attended Charter Arts schools since 2nd grade. Though she hasn’t been able to put on the actual performance due to COVID, her most recent credits would’ve included the children’s musical The Grunch. Mauri is currently a member of stage crew for the theater production Newsies Jr. at her current middle school. In her spare time, she loves to draw, play games, and do make-up. Mauri would like to thank her parents, Ali, and the cast and crew for being so supportive. She hopes you enjoy the show!

 

 

Biography: Melissa Dorflinger-Sweetheart 

Melissa is happy to be back on and off the stage! This will be her 5th show on the stage with MunOpCo and 4th show as Production Manager. She is incredibly grateful for the support of the Cast, Production Team and Board for making this an amazing experience. Melissa would like to thank her family, friends, and very handsome husband for their continuous encouragement.
